Do you know what the best thing in the whole world is as a wedding photographer? When your bride is just as beautiful outside as she is inside. That describes Bobbie perfectly. She is the kind of person who makes you feel valued from the moment you meet her. Being able to tell her love story with her best friend and now husband, Jake, has been truly an honor. So stepping into their wedding day and taking in ALL the breathtaking views was just icing on the already delicious cake of this story.

The property at Colonial Gardens Event Center in Hastings, Nebraska is truly stunning. I was in awe from the moment I drove in. Seriously though, from the getting ready suite, to the open fields and small ponds around the MULTIPLE ceremony cite options, this venue is a dream come true. Bobbie’s style was nothing less than perfection. If I was to get married again I would have her design my reception space! Our styles vibed perfectly and I was just happy as a clam all day capturing the sweet moments and beautiful details.

I want to share about a special point in the day, something I tell potential brides when considering whether or not to do a first look. See Jake’s face when Bobbie is walking down the aisle? Tears…again! Doing a first look does not make that moment any less special or meaningful. Shoot, you might even get the reaction more than once.
