Boho Wedding Style

There’s just something about a wedding that is filled with desert tones, rattan and rugs. I am a huge fan of boho weddings and brides, they just light my creative fire! The inspiration behind this shoot was to create a relaxed, modern boho vibe with pops of color and lots of natural elements. Months of planning went in to this day and I want to share all the details with you here.

Omaha and Lincoln have tons of gorgeous wedding venues, choosing one is a difficult task. I planned this shoot for January so I knew it would need to be inside, plus that added an aspect of originality because most styled shoots I’ve seen around here are planned outside. The Soiree Room fit all my criteria. The 9,000 square foot venue can fit up to 320 guests and they provide setup/teardown and feature gorgeous Chiavari chairs, white walls, a wall of windows for natural light, and an outdoor space. Not to mention their bridal suite for getting ready is one of the prettiest I have ever seen!

The dresses were another huge piece of the design, you can’t have a boho wedding without a lace-y, flowing wedding dress. Dream Dress Express carries the Allure Bridals -Wildry Collection and that was exactly what I was searching for! Tip Top Tux is conveniently located within the dress store so I had a one-stop-shop for my bride and groomswear.

Heather Bee Floral designed a gorgeous centerpiece and bridal bouquet for us. My favorite boho bouquets are usually big, wild, and a mixture of dried+fresh florals (hello 2020 trends). Heather was amazing to work with and she nailed the design and style. Our big rentals came from Nostalgia Rentals - that warehouse is filled with every style and color you would want. We borrowed large rugs, peacock chairs, poofs, macrame hangings, a 6 ft wooden sweetheart table, and a little desert table. The arches were designed and set up by MCM Services, who also provides services such as day of coordination, setup+teardown, and various other wedding day coordination services!

The small tabletop rentals came from Petals To Platinum - Rentals and tables were designed by Julia Grooms of Sincerely Jules Studio. Two different tablescapes were designed to feature the different item styles. Table one was light and bright neutrals with gold accents, Table two was darker, bronze and black mixed metals, both had natural elements mixed in (succulents and pampas grasses). The edible elements from The Bubbly Tart really pulled it all together. Who needs a traditional wedding cake when you can have macroons, handpies, and a mini-cake covered in sugared berries!? These desserts tasted just as good as they looked!

All handlettering was done by Julia Grooms of Poppy Dot Design. Leather goods were provided by LeatheredWithLove. Models are Amanda+Jesse Wells and Abbie+Hayden Meyer. Hair design by Rose Carson of OneZeroFour Salon. Bridal Makeup was done by Makeup By Madison D (find her on instagram). Be sure to check out the behind-the-scenes video from the styled shoot by Kyle’s View Productions. Overall the day turned out to be absolutely perfect and I am so proud to be working with incredible wedding vendors in the Omaha/Lincoln area!
