Micro Wedding at Wilderness Ridge + Wedding Planning Tips!
Thanks for sticking with me on the blog! I have decided that each session I blog will have some valuable information for couples as they plan their engagement sessions and wedding days.
Here are my top 5 general tips for wedding planning:
Start with an overall budget - then break it down into specific amounts for each vendor. Photography, venue, food + booze are all HUGE expenses that the largest chunk of change will go to.
DIY does not always mean “saving money” - splurge on some items to make your life easier, you won’t regret it!
Start planning early! - I have heard from brides that the best thing they did was start planning early. Get the huge stuff out of the way because when you get to be a couple month out from wedding day, all the little stuff comes at you fast.
The number of guests drastically changes your budget - 50 guests allows for more room in the budget for a photographer/venue while 300 guests create a HUGE food+drink bill. Decide what is most important to you as you thing about guest list and budget.
Choose a date in the off-season or on a weekday to get extra perks and save a little bit of money. Most people book their venue at least 6 months in advance so if you have a very specific location you better jump on it quick. May and October seem to be the busiest months for weddings in Nebraska
