The sweetest of sweethearts, Kelsa & Dom spent their wedding day surrounded by loved ones full of stories and laughter. Kelsa’s mom, Debi became a wedding planner after their engagement and everything came together SO BEAUTIFULLY!
I am personally a huge fan of wedding day surprises. The best part of the day would have to be the surprise puppy visit from the couple’s new goldendoodle “Chewie”- yet another part of the day perfectly executed! The floral arch and bouquets from The Fork and Tiller were absolute showstoppers. 100% recommend investing in quality florists for your wedding day, and Cailyn is a true artist!
The countryside at Red Barn Chapel is absolutely breathtaking. It is such a peaceful, quiet venue with incredible owners who are so helpful and accommodating. Other favorite vendors from the day included Charcuterie by CJ during cocktail hour, a Chipotle style taco bar from Abrahams Catering and our LHP personal favorite DJ: Patrick with P-H Productions!
So much of the newlyweds 4 years together has been spent away from each other, just recently Kelsa spent 3 months in Australia studying abroad. Dom just graduated from Iowa state University and Kelsa is still a student there. They met in high school through band and tennis and have such a cute competitive relationship, they even made bets about who would have better vows to each other.
It brings me so much joy asking my couples “what is your favorite thing about your future husband/wife. The answers always tear me up. Kelsa says “He is my bestest friend (also he is 1000x more romantic than I lol)” and Dom “His first response was: “How can I choose just one?” But his serious answer is “the way you make me smile and laugh”.
