Erin+Nolan’s Perfect Wedding Day at Ackerhurst Dairy Barn
It's hard to even begin talking about how amazing Erin and Nolan's wedding was on June 25th. The weather was perfect, we avoided any rain, and temperatures didn't even reach 90°! I know it’s going to be a good day when I show up and the bride’s details are THIS STUNNING
Throughout the day, it seemed like everyone poked a little fun at Nolan because it took 11 years for the two of them to finally make it to the altar. They met as freshmen at Wayne State college and have been together ever since!
You all know that I'm also a huge fan of first looks. Erin had a first look with her dad which was so precious they both cried. Nerves for both Erin and Nolan were at an all-time high before their first look, but all stress melted away once they saw each other. Nolan even let a little tear slip! And of course it wouldn't be a first look without their dog, Wayne joining in the fun.
It's no secret that my favorite wedding days are those that all happen in one location. The Barn at Ackerhurst Dairy Farm did not disappoint with this! Their getting ready room was incredibly beautiful for bridal details and the most beautiful window shots of Erin getting ready. The outdoor ceremony space needed minimal decorations because of how beautiful it already was!
The couple have some very strong ties with their families and it was so apparent throughout the day. From the first look between Erin and her dad to their surprise song change as they had the father + daughter dance. Guests packed the outdoor ceremony space at the barn and Erin's stepmother, Mari had the honor of marrying these two.
Erin and Nolan really know how to treat their guests right. There were plenty of candies and goodies and popcorn from Koated Kernels.... At cocktail hour as well as tons of cupcake options including a gluten-free vanilla almond which I was sooooo pumped about! The reception space at Ackerhurst Dairy Barn is absolutely incredible. The tall ceilings and twinkle lights made for an absolutely incredible entrance. It was so fun for me to witness a few guests entering the reception hall and watching their jaws drop.
We ended the night by sneaking out and getting some beautiful photos as the sun went down. Congratulations Erin and Nolan, I wish you a marriage as beautiful as your wedding day!!
