Lauren + Andy Get Hitched …(again)

I just love Lauren and Andy.

Their souls fit each other so perfectly.

2023 was filled with some high highs and insane lows. Their story leading up to today was far from easy, as they spent the last few months in the hospital while Andy received chemotherapy.

We started the day with Lauren getting bridal makeup done (again) by Keeley Dennis who slayed it as always. Her sister-in-law’s house was beyond incredible for getting ready photos. We all watched as the rain poured down around us. Lauren seemed to be the most calm of all during that time. Even when she got a small stain of makeup on her stunning Blush Bridal Boutique wedding dress she was the most chill - while everyone around her rushed to fix it.

Once finished with the gorgeous bride, we headed to the Church where she and Andy would have their second “first look”. This time, it was at the church is where Andy’s late grandparents were married. While walking up to her husband, Lauren exclaimed “I almost forgot he didn’t have hair!”

Their ceremony was a special little moment, finally surrounded by all their friends and family - Lauren and Andy said their vows. This sweet little mass, complete with beautiful speeches from family, friends and special words from Father Stephen Graeve. Even though this is their second time, this time was still so special and heartfelt. Lauren had been drying out wildflowers for months to celebrate their grand exit - which turned out incredible. I heard her say “THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF!”

The wedding party packed up and we headed to the local bar in the mega party bus where everyone was able to let loose, and celebrate THE NEELS! The gracious small town bartenders took great care of the wedding party with celebratory drinks before the BEST part of the whole day THE COWS. After a full morning of rain, it was questionnable whether or not this would even be able to happen, so to say that our bride was OVER THE MOON is an understatement. After giving them plenty of home-grown corn we headed to the reception.

Now, the reception is just an example of the incredible love that surrounds Lauren and Andy:

  • Our food and couple received a special blessing preformed by the Brides Grandmother.

  • Lauren’s cousin, Sarah, baked them a beautiful cake

  • Toasts to the couple given by Maid of Honor: Megan and Grooms Best Man, Will gave everybody a glimpse into their upbringing - and keys to why these two are so great.

  • Lauren surprising her dad with a song change to “My Maria”

  • and last but not least, the garter auction.

The couple decided to do an amazing act of kindness for a local family that recently found out both the Dad and daughter have cancer. Andy’s uncle was the auctioneer - two people kept the bid going higher and higher. Finally, the winner, with $1200, none other than Doyle Stohlmann - the brides father. Andy had a very tough battle with testicuolar cancer and is now, finally in remission. The couples dedication to helping others after they have been through an incredible battle together, just shows how amazing these people are.

I am so blessed to be able to capture all of the moments shared between these two - I honestly think they should get married twice a year EVERY YEAR!

Thank you Lauren and Andy for choosing me to capture your sweet, sweet love story.
