I’m so glad that weekday weddings exist.

When Caroline's inquiry came through for a Wednesday evening wedding in Lincoln I was already obsessed. We met for coffee and while she told me all the details of her candle-lit, romantic, moody vibe wedding - who could resist that!

During timeline planning we discovered that 2 hours should just about cover everything she wanted to capture. I showed up at The Kindler where Caroline and Lance were getting ready together. Lance is "her rock" and having them together in preparation of their wedding ceremony just made so much sense. Those moments of anticipation before going to the altar are always some of my favorite to capture.

Our bride wore her fiance’s great grandmother’s ring around her neck and gifted Kate Spade earrings from her mother. We opted to nix the Uber and I was able chauffer the couple to their reception at The Jasmine Room by Venue inside the Grand Manse building in the heart of downtown Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rose Joy Events had the place all set with a U-shaped table to really accentuate the intimate feel. Candles and dark blooms filled the table scape and cocktail tables. The dark and moody vibes are not my normal scenery, but wow what a welcome change. The whole place was just…

Absolutely dreamy.

Their ceremony was a tear-jerker. Surrounded by their absolute closest family, Caroline and Lance said their vows and exchanged rings. The couples' parents each wrote letters to their new in-laws while the bride and groom both read letters to Caroline's boys; Christian & Benny.
